Flat Tire Takes Belyea Out of Contention at Brighton; Excel Tower Service Sprint Car in Action This Week With Charlie Sandercock Behind the Wheel

After a disappointing night at Brighton on opening night, Greg Belyea and the Excel Tower Service team were looking forward to getting back on track, and get back to the consistency that the team had in 2011 that earned them the Brighton Speedway championship.

The night started out well for Greg Belyea, grabbing the win in his qualifying heat race, and after making some minor changes before the feature, he would start the 30 lap main event from third.  Not long into the race however, the handling started to go away, and soon Belyea had to pit for a flat tire.  After returning to the race, Belyea had a fast car, but was laps down to the leaders, and would finish 11th.

“It was another disappointing finish, but at least this time the car performed well”, says Belyea.  “We will be back next week, and hopefully we can have a good night, and maybe get that first win of the season”. ....[read more]
